It lies about 15 miles due north of Newark, atop a slope called Garret Mountain, overlooking the New Jersey town of Paterson. Visitors to the Castle can view an impressive collection of American and European paintings and sculptures, look out from a 70-foot observation tower, and view a bevy of historical photographs, letters, pamphlets, and other memorabilia.
